Open Mic Night: Summer Nights
Come be heard and celebrate local talent on a summer evening! All types of spoken art are welcome: poetry, music, drama, and more. No experience needed. Time limit will be 5-10 minutes depending on the number of registered participants. All performers MUST be present at 5:00pm when we draw the lottery for order of performance slots. Advance registration is required for both performers and audience members.
Books & Brews: June 2026
Back by popular demand! Books & Brews is moving our 2026 meet-ups to Sundays. Discussion and beer tasting held at Two Farms Brewing. June's book, The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, is available at the library now (also on the Libby App as an e-book or audio book). Book Teaser: A desperate family seeks a new beginning in the near-isolated wilderness of Alaska only to find that their unpredictable environment is less threatening than the erratic behavior found in human nature. Food and drinks available for purchase.
Arts + Crafts with Ms Patti: Georgia O'Keeffe Flower Art
Celebrate Spring with Ms. Patti by learning about Georgia O'Keeffe and creating large-scale, close-up flower art on paper. We'll use pastels and learn to blend colors for vibrant compositions. Please wear an old t-shirt or smock to protect your clothes.

Participate in a preparedness training that introduces residents to planning and response strategies for natural and man-made disasters.

Community Focus Groups
Help guide the library's future plans and services by joining our community conversation. We're looking at how to improve services and offerings over the next 5 years, and your input is invaluable. Refreshments will be served and all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to a local business.
Postcrossing Club
Join Ms. Vera for an international postcard exchange project! Participants send and receive postcards from around the world, learning about different cultures and geography along the way. Open to all ages.
The Wurtsboro Writers Gang
Join the notorious Wurtsboro Writers Gang for an evening of tall tales spanning sci-fi, western, fantasy, mystery, and crime genres. These storytellers will spin yarns for no good reason other than pure entertainment. Light refreshments will be provided.

Spring Story Time with Giuliana
Join Giuliana for an engaging outdoor story time featuring stories, songs, games and more activities designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Weather permitting, we'll enjoy the outdoors together at Veteran's Park, or move indoors if conditions require.

Female Filmmakers Anthology
Join us for an evening of screening short works by some of the most influential filmmakers in cinema history. We will look at restored digital copies of the poetic and bold films that shaped the Avant-garde film movement, featuring work by Maya Deren and other pioneering women artists whose technological and artistic advances you may have never heard of.

SNAP Education
Ashleigh from The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP) will be here to answer questions about the SNAP program and help you apply. NOEP offers free and confidential assistance to help you learn if you may be eligible, gather documents, understand the application process, and find other programs that help with food, health care, employment, and job training.

Neighborhood Forest: Free Tree Registration
Register your child by March 15 to receive a free tree from Neighborhood Forest in time for Earth Day. Trees will be distributed around the end of April so families can plant together. This is an information campaign—stop by the library or visit neighborhoodforest.org to learn more and sign up.
Tech Topics: Fix Your Tech
Bring any device—phone, tablet, laptop—for hands-on troubleshooting with Malcolm. We'll cover practical fixes, basic maintenance tips, and answer your burning tech questions. Come ready with your device, charging cables, and a little patience while Malcolm gets everyone back up and running.

Fitness Class
This 45-minute class incorporates breathing and stretching to enhance flexibility, breath capacity, and relaxation, while promoting mindfulness. It includes core exercises for a full-body workout, with the final 15 minutes focused on guided breathing and meditation. Suitable for all fitness levels.

"Flower Children" Music Class
Join Musicians James Kiernan & Becca Davies as they lead a unique children's class incorporating America folk music and encouraging children to play and write their own songs while learning traditional songs of Peace, Love, and Unity. Programs runs until November 19th, 2025. All Ages invited. Space is Limited.

The Wordsmiths Writers' Group
Our group of local writers gathers monthly to share excerpts from our works in progress. Led by local writer & journalist, Alethea Pape, this group meet-up offers a judgement-free place to offer helpful critiques and insight to other local writers, and get help with your own work. Constructive critiques & open discussion encouraged! Light refreshments provided. This project is made possible with funds from the Sullivan County Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
Fearless Foodies Potluck Club
Join our monthly potluck club! Each month features a new culinary theme. Bring a dish to share that fits the theme and a copy of the recipe.
Read to Mocha!
The Read to a Dog program is an excellent way for children to increase their reading fluency & word recognition with no pressure. Mocha is a great audience!
Winter Indoor Storytime
Storytime takes place in Veteran's park next door to the library, unless weather forces us indoors! No Registration Required. Dress for the weather.
Coffee & Playdate
Our weekly Parents Coffee Meet Up and Playdate is being changed to Wednesdays at 11:15am. This program takes place every week. We will meet at the library, and if weather permits we'll head over the playground too. All are welcome to come, make friends, and troubleshoot parenting woes while the kids play.
Builder's Brigade
Each session, Kate will give a new fun building challenge and participants will be encouraged to work together or solo to complete the challenge and build a masterpiece. Their structures will be displayed in the library until the next meet up, when possible! Last Saturday of each month.
